Este h\u00edbrido, como Netflix mismo lo dice, profundiza en este gigantesco negocio de las redes sociales: en el poder que tienen, la adicci\u00f3n que provocan y en c\u00f3mo nos roban vida a trav\u00e9s del control que ejercen sobre nosotros, \u00absu carnada perfecta\u00bb. Lo hacen mediante algoritmos que estudian y predicen nuestro comportamiento. Todo est\u00e1 perfectamente estructurado. Las reflexiones iniciales que podemos ver en \u00e9l son el riesgo y los efectos al usar excesivamente las redes sociales, pero el video va m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de esto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Las redes sociales se convirtieron en el punto de inflexi\u00f3n que cambi\u00f3 la forma en la que el ser humano se relaciona. A trav\u00e9s de ellas, nuestro comportamiento se vio afectado, modificando radicalmente nuestra interacci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00abThe Social Dilemma\u00bb est\u00e1 dirigido por Jeff Orlowski, cineasta estadounidense, quien en una hora y media nos muestra c\u00f3mo a trav\u00e9s de las redes sociales somos monitoreados todo el tiempo. Hace hincapi\u00e9 en que aunque hay servicios que parecen gratuitos y creemos que no pagamos, no lo son. Son los anunciantes los que pagan por esos productos que usamos; ellos son los clientes, no nosotros. \u00bfPor qu\u00e9 pagan? La realidad es que pagan para que nos muestren esos productos, sus productos, pagan por atraer nuestra atenci\u00f3n. De esta manera, nos convierten en \u00abel producto\u00bb. Lo aclara mediante una famosa frase: \u00absi no pagas por el producto, entonces t\u00fa eres el producto\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Estos modelos de negocio, como el de Facebook, Twitter, Instagram y Snapchat, se basan en el hecho de que la gente no deja de observar su tel\u00e9fono, no puede soltarlo y est\u00e1, consciente o inconscientemente, esperando el momento de tomar nuevamente ese aparato y ver su pantalla; ver lo nuevo, eso que hace \u00abdos segundos\u00bb no exist\u00eda. Si nos ponemos a pensar un poco, toma totalmente sentido la frase de Tim Kendall, quien fuera ejecutivo de Facebook, presidente de Pinterest y director ejecutivo de Moment: \u00abnuestro objetivo es ver cu\u00e1nto tiempo podemos retenerte, cu\u00e1nta vida podemos lograr que nos entregues\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Por supuesto, esto no es nuevo, pero s\u00ed es un tema relevante. Mediante este reportaje, podemos notar qu\u00e9 efectos provoca consumir excesivamente toda la informaci\u00f3n que comparten estas redes sociales. Es de vital importancia hablar claramente acerca de los trastornos o efectos emocionales que el uso de las redes sociales provoca, porque incluso, aunque pueda verse lejano un panorama negativo, la realidad es que no lo est\u00e1. La ansiedad y la depresi\u00f3n est\u00e1n m\u00e1s cerca de lo que pensamos. Lo podemos escuchar durante todo el documental. Esto tampoco es nuevo, ya que, si revisamos estad\u00edsticas de los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os, nos damos cuenta de que la ansiedad y la depresi\u00f3n han aumentado alarmantemente. Crecen porque tenemos una necesidad permanente de aceptaci\u00f3n y porque existe un exceso de informaci\u00f3n que en ocasiones no podemos manejar adecuadamente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Como lo mencion\u00e9 anteriormente, todos estamos siendo monitoreados las 24 horas del d\u00eda. Esto provoca que los algoritmos dise\u00f1ados por estas redes sepan todo acerca de nosotros, desde nuestro estado de \u00e1nimo, hobbies, preferencias sexuales, personas favoritas y hasta la ropa y comida que pediremos pr\u00f3ximamente. Todo esto, prediciendo nuestro comportamiento. Dice Tim Kendall: \u00abtodo lo que la gente hace online est\u00e1 siendo monitoreado. Mucha gente piensa que Google es simplemente un buscador y Facebook una red para ver lo que hacen los amigos. Pero lo que no saben es que detr\u00e1s hay un grupo de ingenieros trabajando con sus instintos\u00bb. \u00bfYa te diste cuenta? Saben todo de nosotros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Me queda claro que las redes sociales pueden convertirse en una de las amenazas m\u00e1s grandes para muchos. Esto me hace recordar la frase de Tristan Harris, cuando fue dise\u00f1ador \u00e9tico de Google: \u00abhemos perdido el rumbo\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hoy tenemos que lidiar con la manipulaci\u00f3n de la informaci\u00f3n, adicci\u00f3n, desinformaci\u00f3n y hasta la viralidad que se generan en las redes sociales. Todos estos temas finalmente terminan afectando las relaciones personales y la salud mental de las personas porque hay muchas que no cuentan con las herramientas para canalizarlas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finalmente, es obligaci\u00f3n no ser radical o contar con una postura extrema. Satanizar a las redes sociales y no notar las bondades que tambi\u00e9n ofrece ser\u00eda mostrar una visi\u00f3n sesgada. Todos estos expertos que aparecen durante el documental tambi\u00e9n comparten su visi\u00f3n acerca de c\u00f3mo est\u00e1n trabajando para mejorar el panorama actual.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recuerda entonces que el producto en realidad es el cambio gradual de nuestro comportamiento y nuestras percepciones, aunque sean estos muy peque\u00f1os y casi imperceptibles. Es a partir de esto que las empresas pueden generar dinero al predecir nuestra forma de pensar y de hacer las cosas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Este documental es una propuesta interesante que nos hace pensar y replantear. Mueve en nosotros esos pensamientos e ideas que parece tenemos claros pero que en ocasiones, por temor o por alguna causa particular, no nos atrevemos a expresar o incluso reflexionar. \u00a1Hay que verlo para que nos demos cuenta en qu\u00e9 punto estamos!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
